KerrySalary: CompetitiveThe Role:You will be part of a one-team culture while actively contributing to your own skills and experience, producing the required outputs for a portfolio of projects under the guidance of the Senior / Lead Mechanical Design Engineer.We are seeking Mechanical Design Engineers who can demonstrate the following attributes:Provide commitment to excellence in Health & Safety (H&S) in design, fully complying with the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations (CDM) and all other relevant H&S legislation.Experience with the layout and interconnectivity of typical water and wastewater treatment processes and equipment, including pumping systems, is desired.Strong communication skills to interact with other engineering disciplines and the project team.Ability to produce clear and concise mechanical design deliverables across all design stages of a project.Willingness to contribute to and help develop technical knowledge networks.A drive to stay abreast of professional development and current and emerging technical solutions.Flexibility to travel within the UK (including Northern Ireland) and Ireland to support workload.Main Duties and Responsibilities:Reporting to the Senior / Lead Mechanical Design Engineer.Part of a multi-disciplined team responsible for producing design deliverables for water, wastewater, and process treatment plants.Assist in all aspects of Mechanical design, including site surveys, optioneering, feasibility studies, detailed design, and tender pricing.Produce procurement specifications for mechanical equipment and detailed design construction drawings.Project manage third-party designs and support installation and commissioning teams, liaising with subcontractors and suppliers.Support project delivery as part of a team, embracing a “one team” culture.Ensure adherence to Design, Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability standards, policies, and procedures.Meet Glanua’s and the client's technical requirements throughout the design process.Update Design Change Control documentation.Liaise between Electrical and Civil & Structural Designers.Contribute to the growth and development of the company, including expansion of the delivery model.Show eagerness to learn, progress, and mentor junior staff.Perform other duties as required.What we offer you:The opportunity to join an ambitious and growing organization.Monday to Friday working week, with early finish on Fridays.22 days annual leave plus bank holidays.Competitive base salary.A company laptop and phone.Access to EAP – 24/7 confidential employee counselling service, free for employees and their families.Glanua Limited is an equal opportunities employer.SalarySalary negotiable depending on experience.
