Job title:Building Services Manager Location: Dublin Contract: Full-time, permanent Package: Competitive salary (DOE) + vehicle/allowance + expenses & benefits The Role Our client are seeking a Building Services Manager who will be responsible for leading the Building Services (M&E) function across multiple projects at one time, ensuring that all mechanical, electrical, and specialist systems are designed, coordinated, installed, and commissioned safely, efficiently, and in line with programme, quality, environmental, and cost requirements. The role includes managing Building Services Coordinators, maintaining high standards of project delivery, and supporting the development of company procedures, staff capability, and overall project success Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and support Building Services Coordinators, Junior/Graduate Coordinators, and services staff. Set annual goals/KPIs, monitor performance, and provide ongoing feedback and development plans. Oversee building services delivery from design review through installation, commissioning, and handover. Ensure project teams understand design adequacy, buildability, and required coordination between disciplines. Manage services coordination activities, ensuring deliverables are scheduled, tracked, and achieved across subcontractors and specialists. Lead or oversee M&E testing, commissioning, witness testing, and client training/handovers. Support Contracts Managers to ensure full representation of building services at site, client, and coordination meetings. Ensure full compliance with statutory H&S requirements and company safety procedures. Work with QS/Estimating teams on M&E tendering activities, including resource allocation, scope gap analysis, tender reviews, and design & build procurement. Build strong working relationships with internal departments, project teams, subcontractors, specialists, designers, suppliers, and clients. Oversee accurate and timely completion of monthly M&E project reports for inclusion in project reviews About You Strong leadership, communication, mentoring, and interpersonal abilities. High-level understanding of mechanical, electrical, specialist, and life-safety systems. Excellent organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Strong commercial awareness with experience in procurement, tendering, and variations. Ability to interpret complex technical documentation, drawings, and specifications. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Strong problem-solving ability with awareness of programme, cost, and compliance impacts.
