We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of corporate accounting principles. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of financial data and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. The Financial Accountant will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing journal entries, and conducting financial analysis to aid in strategic decision-making.
Duties include
* Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
* Manage journal entries and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.
* General ledger reconciliation reconciliations
* Prepare and ensure accuracy of VAT and PAYE Returns and ensure timely upload to ROS
* CSO reporting requirements
* Preparation of annual accounts and audit files for external auditors
* Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary data for accurate financial reporting.
* Maintain meticulous records of all financial transactions and ensure timely reporting.
Requirements
* Professional Accounting Qualification or Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
* Proven experience in corporate accounting or a similar role.
* Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes.
* Strong understanding of general ledger reconciliation processes.
* Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills.
* Knowledge of accounting and payroll software such as sage and sage pay is highly desirable.
