My client, based in North Dublin, is a Not-for-Profit Charity proudly serving the needs of the Community throughout Ireland since 1876. All of their care homes provide a safe, comfortable homely environment for all their residents. Their care homes provide the highest standards of service and care, for both long- and short-term needs The Accounts Assistants focus will primarily be on Accounts Payable and the continuous development of their new PO system. The Accounts Assistant will also support the Financial Controller in the Month End process and other ad hoc duties. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take get experience in the development of a new software system and exposure in the Month End process, from bank reconciliations to posting journals and preparing accounts to Trial Balance. Main responsibilities: Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance on a monthly basis Prepare and execute payment runs Reconcile vendor statements, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner Support to staff as super-user of PO system and maintenance of internal price listing Identify and report issues with PO system to the Financial Controller and raise tickets to get the issues resolved. Follow up with support and escalate if needed. Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records and bank account reconciliations Assist the Financial Controller with month-end activities and reporting Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments to resolve AP-related issues Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed Qualifications: ATI qualified or similar preferable.
