Job Purpose

The role of the Process Engineer is to work with both the site operations team, to drive process improvement projects across site operations. Drive lean transformation activities throughout the shop floor, to improve customer satisfaction levels, On Time Delivery and Product Quality, and to reduce cost of sales by elimination of non- value add activities across all product lines.

Principal Responsibilities

* Provide technical support as required to production and other departments in the areas of process, equipment, components, systems and new product introduction.
* To schedule and run the necessary process improvement projects required, to improve material / labour productivity and efficiencies.
* Identify and complete key projects to reduce cost (e.g. scrap, labour inefficiency) in the manufacturing process.
* Working with the Finance team, review accuracy of current Bills of Material & establish standard times for all operations to be added to product routers.
* Coach and mentor employees on critical lean concepts such as Value Stream Mapping Visual Management, POU Inventory, KanBan Replenishment etc.
* Project manage process improvements, using Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma Techniques to improve manufacturing performance against key metrics
* Be a proactive member of the Health and Safety Programme to maintain a safe working environment in the manufacturing area.
* Any other duties that have been identified for the role

Person Specification

Education

* Degree in Industrial Mechanical / Production Engineering or equivalent is required
* Lean or Six Sigma Qualification would be advantageous
* Project Management Training would be advantageous

Professional Experience

* Proven industrial experience in a similar manufacturing regulated environment and knowledge of requirements and procedures.
* Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing Improvement Techniques.
* Experience working with
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Strategic thinker with strong problem solving and process troubleshooting skills.
* Strong IT skills including experience of working with ERP systems and MS Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
* Candidates must already possess the right to work in the EU.

* Strong technical leadership and ability to provide direction to manufacturing teams.
* Ability to think take responsibility for specific tasks and translate into effective action plans.
* Results orientated who can connect objectives to the department KPI scorecard
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to adapt style and approach to different types of professionals and individuals.
* Relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
