Our client is a prominent charity operating nationwide, providing vital support to some of the most marginalised individuals, couples, and families experiencing homelessness.
They are currently seeking an experienced Community Engagement Events Fundraising Specialist for their Dublin operations.
This is a full-time role (35 hours per week), with flexibility in working arrangements.
The salary for this role is €42,****** per annum.
Location : Depaul - 18, Nicholas Street, Christchurch, Dublin 8, D08 VCP7 The position is based in Dublin with hybrid work options and involves supporting initiatives across the Republic of Ireland (ROI).
The successful candidate will work closely with the Strategic Partnerships Manager to design and deliver a dynamic community engagement and events fundraising strategy for Depaul, ensuring regional targets and organisational objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and review an ambitious annual Community Engagement and Events Fundraising Plan, aligned with Depaul's overall Fundraising Strategy and created in collaboration with the Strategic Partnerships Manager.
Plan and deliver impactful, engaging, and suitable fundraising initiatives for community groups, schools, and colleges.
Lead and grow Depaul's Schools Programme by delivering high-quality, educational presentations that promote fundraising goals and inspire support across regions.
Create and roll out a community volunteer programme, in partnership with the Volunteer Department, to expand Depaul's Schools Programme and community fundraising—aiming to build a trained, reliable volunteer network that supports a 100% income increase over the next three years.
Maintain strong relationships with existing community fundraising partners while identifying and cultivating new supporters, preparing persuasive partnership proposals that clearly communicate Depaul's mission, goals, and shared benefits.
Meet agreed income targets within budget, ensuring strong return on investment and maximising value for Depaul.
Oversee the daily operations of community and events fundraising activities and evaluate the suitability and potential of new fundraising opportunities in consultation with the Strategic Partnerships Manager.
Requirements Advanced interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, motivate, and negotiate to achieve successful outcomes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including content creation for multiple communication channels.
Strong presentation and public speaking abilities.
Experience in volunteer management or proven success working with volunteer groups.
Experience or strong understanding of sales and marketing strategies.
Knowledge of digital fundraising events and related strategies.
Advanced skills in Word and PowerPoint, along with experience using a CRM system (ideally Salesforce).
Proficiency in graphic design tools to produce impactful and engaging marketing materials (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite).
Collaborative, solution-focused approach with strong relationship-building skills across internal teams and external partners.
