Senior Compliance Specialist
We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our CIA team as a Vice President, focusing on Independent Compliance Risk Management. In this role, you will be responsible for testing and assessing compliance risks and controls implemented by the first line of defence.
Your Key Accountabilities
* Develop and execute comprehensive compliance testing and reporting programs within assigned regions, aligning with the CIA Plan.
* Collaborate with team members to plan, execute, and report compliance testing reviews and regulatory issue validation activities.
* Analyse and document report findings, contributing to initial discussions with control/process owners.
* Assist in refining and enhancing CIA methodologies and standards.
* Leverage innovative solutions, including data analytics, to drive value and reduce costs.
* Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, encompassing business process owners and internal audit function.
* Identify industry best practices and share insights with the CIA teams.
* Inform management of significant compliance matters requiring attention or action.
* Make informed business decisions, considering the organisation's reputation and safeguarding its clients and assets.
Your Background
* Demonstrated knowledge in area of focus.
* 6-10 years of experience in planning, executing, and reporting on compliance testing reviews and regulatory issue validation activities.
* Knowledge and extensive experience with auditing principles, including risk assessments and transactional access segregation of duties.
* Understanding of rules, laws, and regulations, and specific regulatory requirements.
* Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with stakeholders and engaging teams.
* Effectiveness in working within a large-scale complex matrix organisation.
* Excellent oral communication and writing skills in interacting with non-executives and executive management.
* Willingness to travel.
