Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team in ensuring the optimal functioning of our hotel facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hotel maintenance, including expertise in HVAC systems, Building Management Systems (BMS), health and safety regulations, sustainability initiatives, and energy management. Key Responsibilities: - Team Leadership: Manage and develop a skilled maintenance team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient operations and high-quality service delivery. - Planned Preventive Maintenance: Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive planned preventive maintenance program to ensure the longevity and efficiency of all hotel facilities and equipment. - HVAC and BMS Management: Oversee the operation and maintenance of HVAC systems and Building Management Systems to ensure optimal performance and comfort for guests and staff. - Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations, conducting regular assessments and audits to maintain a safe working environment. - Sustainability Initiatives: Drive sustainability efforts within the hotel, focusing on energy management and resource efficiency to support our commitment to environmental stewardship. - Vendor Management: Collaborate with external contractors for maintenance, repairs, and specialized services, ensuring that all work complies with hotel standards. - Stock Management: Manage inventory and stock levels of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring availability while minimizing costs. - Reporting: Provide regular reports to the Director of Engineering on maintenance activities, project statuses, and team performance, highlighting any issues and proposing solutions. - Roster Management: Create and maintain team rosters to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts and respond to any urgent maintenance needs. Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or in a similar role within a hotel or similar hospitality environment. - Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, Building Management Systems (BMS), and general maintenance practices. - Familiarity with health and safety regulations, sustainability practices, and energy management principles. - Proven track record of leading a team to deliver results -Excellent team management and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team. - Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. - Proficient in using maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
