If you're looking to join a friendly, long‑standing insurance broker with deep roots in the community, this could be a great fit. The team has two busy offices and a strong reputation for looking after their clients properly. They're now looking for someone to join their claims team in Dundalk.
This role suits someone who has some experience with claims — whether that's from a broker, an insurer, or even a different type of claims‑related role. If you enjoy helping people through stressful situations and keeping things moving smoothly from start to finish, you'll feel right at home here.
The role is mainly part‑time, often covering mornings, but there's flexibility depending on your experience. For someone with strong claims knowledge, the team is open to offering a competitive package and even discussing full‑time hours.

You'll be the person clients turn to when something goes wrong — guiding them from the first phone call right through to settlement.

6. Being the main point of contact for clients throughout the process
7. Preparing and sending claim documents to insurers
8. Keeping an eye on progress and chasing insurers or third parties when needed
9. Negotiating fair settlements
10. Reviewing offers and explaining outcomes clearly to clients
11. Offering calm, reassuring help when clients need it most
12. Keeping people updated so they always know what's happening
13. Reading policy wordings and helping clients understand what's covered
14. Making sure claims are handled in line with Central Bank and internal rules
15. Keeping claim files complete and audit‑ready
16. Preparing reports or updates when needed
Your profile:
17. APA qualification (or working towards it) is preferred
18. Some experience handling insurance claims (broker, insurer, or similar)
19. A good understanding of policy wordings and how claims work
20. Experience with commercial lines (property, liability, motor, PI)
21. Experience using broking or claims systems
22. Strong communication — written and verbal
