Buyer 3 – Medical Device
Location: Gort, Co. Galway
Hybrid Role - 2 days on site
Department: Supply Chain / Purchasing
Become a key player in our Global Supply Chain team as a Buyer, supporting the medical device portfolio that helps improve lives around the world. This role offers the opportunity to manage critical supply flows, collaborate cross-functionally, and ensure continuity of supply across a complex international network.
What You'll Do
* Action MRP messages and other supply chain requirements to maintain material availability.
* Place accurate purchase orders with approved vendors based on MRP signals, ensuring delivery schedules are aligned and achievable.
* Maintain up-to-date master data in Oracle (EBS) for purchasing parameters, lead times, and part attributes.
* Coordinate and execute inter-company PO flows across Natus sister sites globally.
* Optimize inventory levels while safeguarding supply continuity and minimizing Days Inventory on Hand (DIOH).
* Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing to support supplier negotiations, cost reviews, and contract renewals.
* Coordinate closely with internal functions including Planning, Quality, Engineering, Compliance, Trade, and Finance to resolve supply-related issues.
* Manage Engineering Change Requests to minimize obsolescence and support New Product Introductions (NPI).
* Prepare and analyse purchasing reports, supplier performance data, and metrics to support continuous improvement.
* Support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives within the Supply Chain team.
* Demonstrate the ability to work effectively across cultures and time zones in a global manufacturing environment.
What We're Looking For – Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a purchasing or buyer role within a manufacturing environment (medical device experience advantageous).
* Strong working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems – Oracle EBS experience highly desirable.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
* Good understanding of regulatory and quality standards such as QSR, ISO13485, and MDD/MDR.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and supplier relationship management skills.
Preferred Skills / Certifications
* IIPMM or APICS certification preferred.
* Proficiency in Italian is desirable but not essential.
