Ensure all guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house facilities meet high cleanliness and service standards. Key duties include but are not limited to: leading the accommodation team, conducting daily room inspections, managing inventories, managing room status and managing budgets for the accommodation department.Key Responsibilities & DutiesOperational Leadership: Manage daily housekeeping, cleaning, and maintenance operations to ensure rooms are spotless and guest-ready.Staff Management: Recruit, train, supervise, and create rotas for the accommodation team. Ensure your department is adequately staffed to meet the daily needs of the business. Carry-out appraisals with your team on a regular basis. Ensure effective management and planning of staff holidays in line with the needs of the businessInspections & Standards: Conduct daily inspections of all bedrooms before the guest's arrival and inspect all public areas to maintain a high-quality standard of cleanliness. Ensure each bedroom is presented to the highest standard. To create routine cleaning schedules so that all furniture and fittings are maintained to the highest standard. Ensure all checklists are completed by the relevant members of staff before the end of the shift. Ensure all accommodation storerooms and linen trolleys are kept clean and tidy at all timesInventory & Budgeting: Manage wage budgets, perform linen inventory checks and order supplies for linen, guest amenities and cleaning materialsMaintenance Liaison: Ensure that issues with fixtures, furniture, or equipment are reported to the maintenance team via Alkimii and that issues are prioritised and completed in a timely mannerOther Tasks include: Manage and update bedroom status as rooms are cleaned and checked. Responsible for managing all lost property including logging and following up with the Group Reservations Manager. Maintain a high level of security in relation to control of master keys and guest bedrooms.
