Overview
We have partnered with a major renewables developer to appoint a Land Acquisition Manager to support the delivery of renewable energy projects across Ireland. This permanent role involves securing third-party land rights—options, leases, wayleaves, and easements—to enable large-scale infrastructure development.
Responsibilities
* Lead landowner negotiations for renewable energy and infrastructure projects, securing land rights such as options, leases, wayleaves, and easements.
* Manage complex agreements and ensure timely delivery of land access for development and construction phases.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, tenant farmers, and land managers.
* Present project details and negotiate Heads of Terms, capturing special conditions to streamline legal processes.
* Liaise with legal teams, project managers, consultants, and joint venture partners to progress agreements.
* Attend stakeholder consultations and stay informed on regulatory changes affecting land strategies.
* Maintain accurate records of negotiations, risks, and progress in line with internal governance standards.
* Support joint venture partners in land acquisition and coordinate title investigations.
* Contribute to performance management and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
* Degree in Land Management, Property, Business, or related discipline
* Minimum 6 years’ experience in agriculture, forestry, property, or project management.
* Strong knowledge of Irish property law and renewable energy project requirements.
* Proven track record in negotiating and concluding land agreements.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
* Ability to interpret maps, manage multiple projects, and maintain detailed records.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong reporting capabilities.
