Junior Sous Chef Position
We are seeking a skilled and ambitious Junior Sous Chef to join our kitchen team in Galway. As a key member of the culinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the kitchen team during service with efficiency and professionalism.
* Support in menu creation and development with a focus on seasonality and innovation.
* Maintain high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene.
* Oversee stock control, ordering, and waste management processes.
* Train, mentor, and motivate junior kitchen staff to achieve their full potential.
* Ensure compliance with HACCP and all food safety regulations.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef in a quality-driven kitchen environment. Strong cooking skills with a passion for gastro pub dining and modern Irish cuisine are essential. Excellent organisational and leadership skills are required to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
