About the Role
TORPEY has an exciting opportunity for a senior manufacturing professional to join their team as a Production Manager, leading day-to-day running of factory operations while driving digital transformation and innovation across our manufacturing systems.
This role blends production management with the integration of CNC, robotics, and IT-driven smart factory practices, ensuring TORPEY remains at the cutting edge of sports technology.
Core Responsibilities
Oversee all onsite production operations and ensure output meets quality, cost, and delivery targets, including daily CNC operations, scheduling, throughput, and resource planning.
Identify opportunities to integrate robotics and automation into CNC workflows, overseeing commissioning, programming, and optimisation of robotic and automated systems.
Ensure data-driven decision making through CNC monitoring, AI/analytics, and connected systems.
Research and implement ERP systems, driving continuous improvement, advancing Lean production systems with a focus on metrics, KPIs, and data.
Line manage and mentor staff, overseeing recruitment, training, and development while building a positive workplace culture that reflects TORPEY's values of teamwork, craftsmanship, and innovation.
Manage raw material, work-in-progress, and finished product stock levels.
Ensure warehousing and dispatch systems run efficiently, accurately, and cost-effectively.
Collaborate with engineering and R&D to identify and implement new technologies and systems to enhance efficiency and scalability.

Experience
Proven track record in manufacturing/operations management, ideally within CNC or high-tech manufacturing.
Hands-on experience with CNC machining and programming (SolidWorks or similar).
Knowledge and experience of robotics integration.
Experience implementing and improving Lean/continuous improvement systems.
Third-level qualification in engineering, operations management, business management, manufacturing technology, or similar preferred.
Fluent verbal and written English.
Compensation
€60,000 – €70,000 based on experience.
Requirements
Must hold a full, valid driving licence and have access to own vehicle.
Must hold a valid work permit to legally work in the Republic of Ireland.
