We pride ourselves on our commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability, delivering solutions that meet the needs of our clients and communities.Position Overview:The Civils Site Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating on-site construction activities to ensure that civil engineering works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. Working closely with the Site Engineer, Contracts Manager and Health & Safety team, the Foreman will oversee daily operations, manage site personnel and subcontractors, and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and Irish safety regulations.This role requires strong leadership, a practical understanding of groundworks and civils operations, and a proactive approach to problem solving on site.Key Responsibilities:Site Supervision & CoordinationSupervise all site activities for civil engineering works including groundworks, concrete works, drainage, utilities, roadworks, and structures.Ensure that work is carried out according to design drawings, specifications, and company standards.Liaise with HSEQ team on BCMS complianceCoordinate site resources including labour, plant, and materials to achieve production targets.Manage and support direct labour and subcontractors to maintain high standards of workmanship.Plan and sequence work efficiently to meet programme requirements.Liaise daily with the Site Engineer and Project Manager regarding progress, issues, and resource needs.Health, Safety & EnvironmentalPromote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013.Implement and enforce all site safety procedures and toolbox talks.Report near-misses, incidents, and safety observations promptly.Ensure that method statements, risk assessments, and permits to work are followed.Support the PSCS (Project Supervisor Construction Stage) in maintaining a safe working environment.Quality & ComplianceEnsure all work meets required quality and specification standards.Monitor and inspect works regularly, identifying and rectifying defects promptly.Maintain site records including daily diaries, delivery dockets, and plant logs.Support quality audits and handover documentation processes.Team Leadership & CommunicationProvide clear direction, motivation, and supervision to site operatives and subcontractors.Communicate effectively with engineers, management, and clients.Lead daily briefings to plan and coordinate activities.Mentor junior staff and promote teamwork and accountability on site.Qualifications & Experience:Essential:5+ years' experience in civil engineering site supervision (roads, drainage, utilities, concrete, etc.).Proven track record working on large-scale civils or infrastructure projects in Ireland.Excellent knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and safe working practices.Safe Pass and Manual Handling required, CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) cards if available(mandatory for site access).Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.Strong leadership and communication skills.Full clean Irish/UK driving licence.Desirable:Abrasive Wheels, and Excavator / Site Dumper / Teleporter tickets.First Aid, Confined Space, or Signing, Lighting & Guarding certification.Trade background or qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction, or related discipline.Core Competencies:Site Supervision & OrganisationHealth & Safety AwarenessQuality Control & Attention to DetailLeadership & Team ManagementProblem Solving & Decision MakingCommunication & CoordinationTime & Resource ManagementJob Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:Company pensionEmployee assistance programOn-site parkingWellness programWork from homeExperience:Foreman/Site Supervisor: 5 years (required)Work authorisation:Ireland (preferred)Willingness to travel:25% (required)Work Location: In person
