Location: BigStyle Lodge, Killadoon, Co. Mayo
Contract: Fixed-term (Feb/March – mid-Nov)
Hours: Full-time (40 hrs/week)
Salary: €30,000–€35,000 per annum (pro rata, depending on experience)
We're seeking a hands-on Lodge Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, guest experiences, and team coordination at BigStyle Lodge and its subsidiary businesses. You'll balance operational delivery with leadership, organisation, and excellent customer care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily lodge operations, events, and guest stays.
* Ensure high guest satisfaction from arrival to departure.
* Act as the main on-site contact for guests and partners; resolve issues professionally.
* Hire, schedule, and support staff and volunteers; promote a positive team environment.
* Coordinate events, catering, and logistics; liaise with suppliers.
* Maintain health & safety standards, including fire safety and first aid.
* Conduct routine property checks; troubleshoot minor maintenance issues; liaise with contractors.
* Manage stock, place orders, and maintain accurate records.
* Assist with administration, reservations, and wider company projects as needed.
Essential Requirements:
* Experience in hospitality, accommodation, or guest-facing roles.
* Ability to maintain high health & safety standards.
* Fire Safety and First Aid previously trained (up-to-date certification a plus).
* Strong organisational, communication, and people-management skills.
* Confident with computers, email, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office.
* Ability to remain calm and adaptable in a busy, event-driven environment.
* Must live locally or be willing to relocate (accommodation not provided).
* Full, clean driving license.
Desirable:
* Event, lodge, or retreat accommodation experience.
* Maintenance or facilities experience.
* Knowledge of booking systems.
