Job DescriptionReliability Specialist – Pharmaceutical ManufacturingLocation: Cork, Ireland Type: Full-time, Contract 11 monthsA leading multinational pharmaceutical manufacturer is seeking a Reliability Specialist to join its Engineering Centre of Excellence.
This is a high-impact role focused on driving asset performance, optimising maintenance strategies, and supporting production reliability across a highly regulated site.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development and implementation of asset maintenance strategies to ensure reliable plant and equipment performance.Analyse equipment performance and maintenance data to identify recurring issues and deliver long-term engineering solutions.Oversee predictive and condition-based maintenance programmes (e.g., vibration, thermography) and interpret results to guide decisions.Support continuous improvement initiatives, integrating digital tools and smart maintenance practices.Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve equipment issues and ensure efficient project delivery.Provide technical expertise to optimise maintenance planning, cost management, and resource utilisation.Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards in all maintenance activities.RequirementsQualifications & ExperienceDegree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.Minimum 5 years' relevant professional experience, ideally with 3+ years in a reliability or maintenance engineering role.Strong experience with CMMS systems and data analysis tools.Proven ability to diagnose equipment issues, implement solutions, and drive continuous improvement.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.Familiarity with cGMP or regulated manufacturing environments is an advantage.
Requirements
• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' relevant professional experience, ideally with 3+ years in a reliability or maintenance engineering role.
