Role Overview
As a Senior Quality Specialist / Supervisor at BNL Sciences, you will lead quality initiatives and oversee the day-to-day activities of the Quality team.
This role involves strategic input into the Quality Management System (QMS), supervising team members, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
You will act as a key liaison between departments, drive continuous improvement, and provide leadership in audits and quality projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the Quality team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
Act as deputy to the Quality Manager, assuming leadership responsibilities in their absence.
Oversee maintenance and enhancement of the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO and regulatory standards.
Plan, coordinate, and lead internal audits, ensuring timely closure of corrective actions.
Represent the company during customer and regulatory audits, providing expert responses and managing follow-up actions.
Manage and approve Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) and mentor team members on root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
Review and approve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other controlled documents.
Collaborate with Production and Operations to approve, release, or reject finished products and assess changes impacting product quality.
Review and approve validation protocols and reports for processes and equipment.
Investigate and resolve critical deviations, complaints, and audit findings, ensuring robust CAPA implementation.
Oversee calibration and maintenance programs for test equipment.
Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance quality systems and operational efficiency.
Deliver advanced QMS and compliance training to staff and new hires.
Chair regular quality team meetings, providing updates on KPIs, projects, and compliance status.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers to address quality concerns and ensure satisfaction.
Prepare and present quality metrics and reports to senior management.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 5+ years' experience in Quality Assurance or Regulatory Compliance within a manufacturing or scientific environment.
Proven experience in supervising or leading a team.
Strong knowledge of QMS principles, ISO standards, and audit processes.
Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Proficiency in root cause analysis, CAPA, and risk management tools.
