Senior Infrastructure Engineer - € per DayIrish Government Regulatory authority based in South Co. Kildare (Location very easily accessible from Dublin and South midlands) requires a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join them on a contract basis for an upcoming projectThe Senior Infrastructure Engineer will have experience in Windows Domain Management, OS troubleshooting and the implementation/maintenance of the MS 365 suite, including Azure. They will also require a good knowledge of networking technologies and Google workplace administration requirements.The Senior Infrastructure Engineer role is offered on a hybrid basis, with the successful candidate being required onsite at the organisation's offices in Co. Kildare 2-3 days per week. While initially offered on a 6–12-month contract basis, the complexity of this project is such that there is a strong probability of it being extended it beyond this time frame or being made permanent.Responsibilities of Role:Windows Domain Management: Ability to manage users and groups in a local Windows domain environment; proficiency with Active Directory (AD) for user account creation, password resets, and permissions management.Windows OS Troubleshooting: Strong troubleshooting Windows 10 and Windows 11; and resolving common OS issues (drivers, updates, performance, connectivity).Microsoft 365 Administration: Setting up/managing users in Microsoft 365, assigning licenses and configuring basic security settings.Device Setup & Configuration: Setting up new Windows devices and joining them to the domain;Configuring user profiles and ensuring proper access to network resources.Troubleshooting network connectivity issues involving DNS, DHCP, and port forwardingGoogle Workspace Administration: Create/manage user accounts in Google Workspace; configure email, calendar, and access permissions.Managing remote support tools and ticketing systems.Communicating technical issues to non-technical users.Supervising backup and recovery procedures.Essential CandidateThird Level degree in Computer Science, IT or other are relevant to the roleCertification – Ideally have Microsoft certification related to management of windows/windows server, Microsoft 365 and/or AzureHave worked for at least 5 years as a Systems Administrator, Architect or Technical manager in a primarily Microsoft orientated enterprise settingHave a very strong knowledge of Network Technologies and management – This should include a very strong understanding of how network connectivity issues involving DNS, DHCP and port forwarding are typically resolvedStrong understanding of backup and recovery procedures.Good working knowledge of google workplace administrationWhile not essential, previous experience working for an Irish Government department, semi state body or other Public Secor entity would be a distinct advantageous.IMPORTANTOur client cannot provide any kind of Visa or Work Permit sponsorship at present, so all applicants must already have an automatic right to work in Ireland or hold a Stamp 1G or Stamp 4 Visa.To Apply:For more information on this role,please contact Níall on or or send current CV along with brief cover letter through this site
