Job Description:
This key role involves leading and guiding the engineering team to achieve their goals. This requires effective leadership, a culture of continuous improvement, and innovation. The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified engineers.
The senior engineering professional will set departmental and individual objectives aligned with senior management's strategic plan. They will conduct annual performance reviews and develop personal development plans for team members. Additionally, they will define training requirements and maintain skills and capability matrices.
This role requires collaboration with Operations Managers to deliver solutions on time, within budget, and to a high standard. The senior engineer will oversee pre-sales activities and provide technical sign-off for tenders and designs. They will work closely with the Sales Team to develop solution roadmaps.
The successful candidate will hold the engineering team accountable to KPIs, deadlines, and engineering standards. They will prioritize, delegate, and supervise all engineering activities and deliverables. Furthermore, they will develop comprehensive technical documentation and ensure adherence to ISO policies and best security practices.
To succeed in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of engineering theory and design principles. You should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills. A minimum of 10 years' experience in SCADA/PLC and communication solutions is required. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is necessary, while a Master's degree is preferred.
The ideal candidate will have familiarity with Cloud platforms and various technologies such as SCADA, HMI, PLC, Microwave, DMR, Wi-Fi, MPLS, GSM, DWDM, and IP Networking. Experience with Six Sigma, Agile, or Lean methodologies is also desirable. Strong database skills and ability to prioritize and delegate effectively are essential.
