Overview
We're looking for a
AVEVA PI Engineer
to join our team in Cork.
In this role, you'll design, configure, and support
AVEVA PI System solutions
(formerly OSIsoft PI) that enable real-time data insights and digital transformation.
You'll collaborate across functions to integrate data from manufacturing and industrial systems, helping to drive smarter decision-making and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Design, configure, and implement AVEVA PI components including PI Server, PI Asset Framework (AF), PI Vision, and PI Interfaces/connectors.
Integrate PI with SCADA, DCS, PLCs, and other OT/IT systems.
Build and maintain PI AF models and analytics to support business needs.
Create PI Vision dashboards for operations and management teams.
Perform upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting across PI infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and quality standards.
Translate stakeholder requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Deliver training, support, and documentation for PI users and staff.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
5+ years of experience with AVEVA/OSIsoft PI System administration and development.
Strong skills in PI AF, PI Vision, PI Interfaces, and PI Data Archive.
Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., OPC, Modbus).
Experience working in regulated pharmaceutical environments.
Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, VBScript) is an advantage.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
