About the Role:
Our client’s property is a prestigious and historic estate nestled in the heart of Donegal, and they are seeking an organised, detail-oriented Accounts Administrator to join their office team. This flexible role can be full-time or part-time (20–40 hours) depending on the candidate’s availability.
As a key part of their administration function, the successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the financial operations of the property. You will work closely with hotel management and external partners to ensure accurate and efficient financial processes are maintained to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
Process weekly payroll in an accurate and timely manner
Maintain the accounts payable ledger and ensure prompt reconciliation
Liaise with hotel management on monitoring and managing the debtors ledger
Carry out regular bank reconciliations
Complete VAT returns and reconciliation
Perform daily cash and credit card reconciliations
Monitor purchase orders and process supplier invoices
Assist in the production of monthly management accounts, including P&L, KPIs, and balance sheet reconciliations
Support in the preparation of annual budgets
Assist in the annual audit process
Generate timely reports and financial forecasts to assist in strategic decision-making
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar accounts/admin role
Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 (accounts and payroll)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and take initiative
Experience with online procurement or management systems is an advantage
Previous experience in the hospitality sector is a distinct advantage
