This growing company works across supplying to many industries including food processing, pharmaceutical and many other related sectors. This role, General Operations Manager presents an exciting opportunity to join the company at a busy growth time. The overall purpose of the role is Accountable for the entire operation ensuring all operational activities are delivered on time, efficiently and profitably while at the same time ensuring the clients experience is first class. Ensuring sales are growing and costs are controlled Ensuring the site is operating to the highest standards of safety at all times. Responsibilities will include Full leadership responsibility. - Leading, motivating and managing a team to achieve high standards of product delivery while achieving company goals Manage the entire operation including production, quality, Supply Chain, EHS, Human Resources and finance Promote a Teamwork environment. working well with colleagues to achieve company goals and facilitating effective team interaction. Holding regular team meetings Full P&L responsibility for the site. To manage and negotiate with customers to ensure there is a strong pipeline of orders into the future Continuous Improvement, always striving to continuously improve systems and practices in response to external customer needs whilst controlling costs. Developing and managing long-term company strategy in line with the company Directors Budgeting for and managing long-term capital investments Dealing with ad hoc issues and challenges as they arise Role will suit Educated to min level 8 Degree in a business, engineering or manufacturing qualification Min of 10+ years experience of leading and managing teams in an engineering production environment. Experience in sheet metal engineering a distinct advantage Ability to liaise with customers, manage sales and expectations with excellent negotiation skills essential Numeracy / analytical skills, with the ability to work with and set forecasts, budgets Previous experience of cross-functional working essential Strong communication skills Self-driven individual required with a proven track record for achieving results Skills: People Leadership New Business Development Engineering Metal fabrication Benefits: Bonus
