Mechanical Design EngineerWicklow, Arklow€NegRequired for mechanical & electrical design consultancy with a large variety of commercial, residential and light industrial clients.The company has consolidated several excellent clients with repeat work and is looking to expand the team by recruiting an intermediate / senior level mechanical design engineer to work in our offices in Arklow, Co. Wicklow. The role is permanent and with a package as per the details below and can be adapted to suit. This role is an opportunity to mechanically lead and shape a growing company. Most of our work is Dublin based, however meetings and site attendance are scheduled during off peak traffic hours.Duties:Attendance design team meeting and representing the companyMechanically leading the company and targeting new standards and good quality of designMechanical drafting and design in AutoCAD (Revit if available)Prepare design calculations, specifications and reportsProduction of both outline and detailed design, and construction drawingsUndertake feasibility studies and investigative reportsPeriodic site attendance and inspections for snagging & verificationUtilising design software packages with high levels of attention to detail and formatting abilitiesRequirements:Bachelors or Masters' Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)Typically, around 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in mechanical design.A team player with good oral and written communication skillsFinancially astute with effective planning and organisation skillsHighly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges qualifications & experienceWillingness to learn and challenge for better delivery of service to our clients.Mechanical or other relevant trade background welcomeSalary:Salary commensurate with the candidate's skills and experience to be discussed.22 days' annual leave + the ability to add extra days leave in addition to core holidaysSmall company set up to get out of the city, so flexibility is our goalTravel ExpensesMobile phonePaid membership fees for two professional institutesCPD programmeBenefits:Flexible working hoursWork from home opportunitiesJob Type: PermanentPay: From €30,000.00 per yearWork Location: In person
