About the role
This is a developmental opportunity for healthcare assistants, with no prior experience required. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. You will gain further experience in a person‑centered healthcare setting by caring for people with Alzheimer's disease/dementia and providing supportive care in their homes.
Responsibilities
• Assist with personal care, social engagement, meal preparation, and other supportive tasks in the client’s home.
• Ensure a safe and caring environment for clients.
Qualifications
• Flexible availability.
• Full clean driver’s licence.
• Willingness to undergo Garda vetting and provide suitable character references.
• 19.5 hours per week.
Eligibility
Applicants must be 21 years or older and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for at least 1 year, or 18 years or older for certain disadvantaged groups. Eligibility will be verified by the Department.
