Graduate Sales Development Programme

The Graduate Sales Development Programme is designed to cultivate the next generation of sales leaders and managers.

This comprehensive programme offers a unique opportunity for recent graduates to develop a core knowledge of business operations, including warehouse, logistics, supply chain, administration, IT software, and marketing.

As part of this programme, you will receive hands-on experience with our vast product range, learning about different manufacturers and the electrical distribution industry.

You will build relationships, make deals, and advise customers face-to-face over the trade counter, developing essential sales skills and expertise.

During your formal sales training course, you will network with other Graduate Trainees from across the company and complete workbook assessments to underpin your learning and development.

Financial incentives are offered for each assessment passed to a required standard, providing an additional motivation to succeed.


Career Progression

After 6-12 months, you will move to internal sales account management, engaging with business customers over the phone.

You will learn business development strategies and how to target and win new trading accounts, further developing your sales expertise.

At 12 months and beyond, you will progress to a diverse business-to-business field sales management position, with increased earning potential and bigger bonuses.

You will travel locally in your company car, meeting clients, discussing projects, and arranging social activities, while also working towards running your own business within the group.

This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
