Reliable Equipment Technician Wanted
At our esteemed food processing facility in Co. Monaghan, we are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of our production lines.
The Role
* Perform planned preventive maintenance tasks and log data in our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
* Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and automation equipment.
* Provide technical support to the production team to meet operational targets.
* Coordinate with suppliers for new installations, modifications, and parts procurement.
* Manage and maintain tools, workshops, and spare parts inventory.
* Supervise and liaise with contractors to ensure safety compliance.
* Support apprentice training and participate in cross-skilling initiatives.
* Adhere to Food Safety, Health & Safety, and environmental regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
As a Maintenance Technician candidate, you will possess:
* A technical diploma, degree, or trade certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
* 3-5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
* Experience with high-speed production lines, conveyors, packaging equipment, or automated systems.
* Knowledge of PLC systems, including troubleshooting and basic programming.
* Familiarity with preventive maintenance strategies, CMMS, and Health & Safety practices (including LOTO).
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* A full driving licence and flexibility for on-call duties.
