Greenhill Nursing Home Carrick on Suir are hiring a full time Kitchen Assistant to join our experienced, friendly teamNature of Duties:Assistance in the preparation and serving of food for our residents at meal timesDelivering drinks/tea and coffee to residents' room aswell as fulfilling any other requests the residents may have in relation to food and drinkCleaning of kitchen/dining room area in preparation for mealtimes including washing dishes, cleaning floors and surfaces etc.Organizing and putting away any deliveries of stock using first in first out method and correct rotationAdhering to strict HACCP and infection prevention measures when serving/preparing or cleaning the kitchen areaA positive and friendly attitude as our staff collectively creates a homely environment for our residents and their familiesSkills required:Previous experience desired but not essential as full induction/training will be providedHACCP certificates preferred but not essential as this training can be provided to the right candidateManual handling desirableFlexibility to work a varying shift pattern across the seven days of the week in accordance with a weekly rosterBe friendly and outgoingTo apply send your CV and cover letter to or apply through this job posting
