About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Warehouse Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy warehouse. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate handling of stock, efficient deliveries, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to plan and manage daily workflows, truck loading/unloading, and delivery schedules. You will also be responsible for overseeing goods-in processes, coordinating container deliveries, and organizing stock control, cycle counts, and annual stocktake.
In addition to your technical skills, you will need to be an effective communicator, able to lead and motivate a small team, delegate tasks effectively, and manage rotas to maintain coverage. You will also be responsible for conducting performance reviews, mentoring, and team development, while promoting a positive, collaborative, and productive working culture.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and manage daily workflows, truck loading/unloading, and delivery schedules
* Oversee goods-in processes, including unloading, put-away, and inter-branch transfers
* Coordinate container deliveries and ensure timely unloading
* Organize stock control, cycle counts, and annual stocktake
* Lead and motivate a small team
* Delegate tasks effectively and manage rotas to maintain coverage
* Conduct performance reviews, mentoring, and team development
* Promote a positive, collaborative, and productive working culture
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Proven experience in warehouse or logistics management
* Strong leadership, planning, and organizational abilities
* Confident communication and interpersonal skills
* Sound knowledge of warehouse systems and Microsoft Office
* Understanding of health & safety compliance
* Forklift licence desirable but not essential
