Role/ Department: As part of Northern Trust's Global Threat Technology team, the Azure Dev Sec Ops Engineer will have an emphasis automating workflows, and managing cloud-based resources with a keen focus on integrating security into Dev Ops pipelines.
The Dev Sec Ops Engineer will also play a crucial role in executing Northern Trust's cloud security strategy, as part of a diverse, multicultural team.
The key responsibilities of the role include: Implement, manage, and optimize infrastructure automation using Terraform for cloud environments, including network, storage, compute, and monitoring resources.
Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and Power Shell to manage cloud resources, security controls, and Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment, testing, and management of infrastructure.
Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to integrate security policies and best practices into CI/CD workflows.
Skills\Qualifications: The successful candidate will benefit from having: Certifications in AWS, Azure, Security, or Dev Ops (e.g., AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer, Azure Security Engineer, Comp TIA Security+).
Expertise in Azure/AWS servicesincluding Compute, Networking, Storage, Security, and Monitoring.
Hands-on experience in Dev Sec Ops, cloud automation, and infrastructure management.
Proficiency in Python and Power Shell for scripting and automation.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Ia C)tools such as Terraform, ARM Templates.
Experience in setting up CI/CD pipelinesfor cloud-based infrastructure deployments.
Experience using Git and other version control systems.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to adapt to changing requirements in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated leadership ability and a passion for mentoring and coaching junior team members.
Proactive approach to continuous learning and self-improvement.
