Role Overview
Uniphar are seeking a dynamic and purpose-driven Senior Communications Manager to lead the development and execution of change management and internal communications strategies that support organisational transformation. This role will be instrumental in shaping how we communicate change across the organisation—ensuring clarity, consistency, and connection at every level. You will lead the design and delivery of internal communication strategies that engage employees, build trust, and drive alignment with our business goals. Working closely with senior leaders, HR, and project teams, you will ensure that change is communicated in a timely, transparent, and tailored way for diverse audiences.
Reporting to the Group HR Director, Transformation and Integration with a dotted line to the Chief People Officer, this role will be central for crafting and executing internal communication strategies that connect employees to our purpose, values, and transformation journey while fostering a culture of transparency, trust, and inclusion. You will also need to work closely with various internal stakeholders across the regions.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver an internal communications strategy aligned to overall business goals.
* Support, cascade and execute communication of our people strategy.
* Implement a comprehensive internal communications strategy aligned with business priorities and change initiatives, including roadshows, technology updates, and FAQs.
* Coordinate communication to drive high participation in yearly Engagement Surveys.
* Lead communication elements for Executive team roadshows and townhalls.
* Provide oversight for Uniphi and annual strategy.
* Communicate onboarding and internal promotions at management level.
* Craft clear, compelling messaging for leadership, managers, and frontline employees.
* Manage communication channels such as intranet, newsletters, town halls, and digital platforms like Uniphi internal portal.
* Monitor and measure communication effectiveness and employee engagement, adjusting strategies as needed.
* Own and evolve internal communication channels, ensuring they are modern and effective (e.g., SharePoint, MS Teams, digital signage).
* Partner with senior leaders and HR to deliver consistent messaging that reflects values and strategic direction.
* Lead the editorial calendar and storytelling approach to deliver timely communication across the organisation.
* Manage relationships with third-party agencies and suppliers when required.
* Coordinate and promote key relationships with regard to CSR.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand needs and tailor communication.
* Facilitate feedback loops and two‑way communication to ensure employee voices are heard.
* Act as a trusted advisor to leaders on change and communication best practices.
Change Management
* Implement change management strategies maximizing employee adoption.
* Partner with senior leaders, HR, and project teams to embed change initiatives (e.g., HR tier 1 system rollout, pension auto‑enrolment).
* Conduct impact assessments and readiness evaluations to identify change risks and mitigation strategies.
* Develop and deliver training and support materials to facilitate change adoption and support ongoing projects internally.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree qualified and 5+ years relevant professional experience in communications.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent copywriting skills with demonstrable experience creating clear and persuasive copy.
* Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, including at MD and Board level.
* Experience with digital communication tools and platforms.
* Some experience in change management within a complex organisation.
* Comfortable working in fast‑paced, evolving environments.
