We have an exciting Engineering & Facilities Supervisor position to join our team in Watergrasshill, Co. Cork. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role will be responsible for the safe, compliant, and effective delivery of all engineering operations in the primary unit of the plant (abbatoir and boning hall), facilities, and site services.

Responsibilities
Supervise and ensure safe operating procedures for visiting contractors
Complete and develop all PPM schedules using predictive and diagnostic maintenance techniques
Kickstart improvement initiatives with a hands‑on and forward‑thinking approach
Assist the engineering department in achieving budget targets through efficient use of materials and replacement parts
Undertake emergency breakdown repairs in a timely and efficient way on all retail production equipment and assist across all site engineering issues when required
Assist in the installation of new equipment to the site
Attend and contribute to daily production and engineering meetings
Issue, approve and manage workload to engineering team using CMMS
Requirements
Engineering qualification at degree level or a time‑served apprenticeship
Proven maintenance experience in food or FMCG manufacturing with strong people‑management experience
Strong knowledge of food safety, compliance, and audit standards
Experience managing facilities, utilities, and contractorsStructured problem‑solving and strong communication skills
Desirable
PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations) knowledge
Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and CE marking of machinery
