The Role
This is a site-based Project Engineer position focused on coordinating Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works while ensuring seamless integration with civil and structural packages.
You’ll act as the key link between M&E, civils, design, and construction teams—ensuring all disciplines are aligned, delivered safely, and completed in line with programme and specification.
Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Coordination
Plan, schedule, and coordinate M&E packages on site
Support programme delivery and trade sequencing alongside the Project Manager
Lead coordination meetings across M&E and civil teams
Ensure alignment between installation works, programme, and site constraints
Coordinate M&E services with civil infrastructure (ducting, foundations, drainage)
Review drawings to identify and resolve clashes between disciplines
Align civil works with M&E requirements (cable routing, plinths, underground services)
Manage sequencing between trades to avoid delays and rework
Technical & Engineering Support
Review drawings, specifications, and technical submissions
Provide technical guidance to subcontractors and site teams
Ensure compliance with relevant standards and specifications
Site Supervision & Progress Monitoring
Supervise subcontractors and monitor site activity
Track progress and productivity across packages
Produce regular progress reports
Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
Ensure QA/QC procedures and ITPs are followed
Carry out inspections and manage non-conformances
Support testing, commissioning, and system integration
Manage snagging, as-built documentation, and handover
Health, Safety & Environment
Promote and enforce site safety across all disciplines
Contribute to risk assessments and method statements
Ensure safe coordination of multi-discipline activities
Commercial & Reporting
Support cost control, procurement, and subcontractor management
Track variations linked to interface issues
Provide updates on cost, programme, and risk
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent)
3–5 years’ experience in construction, EPC, or site-based M&E roles
Strong experience coordinating with civil or structural works (critical)
Ability to interpret multi-disciplinary drawings
Familiarity with construction sequencing and site logistics
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Proficient with MS Office; exposure to AutoCAD or similar
Nice to Have
Experience on energy, data centre, or industrial projects
Exposure to commissioning and handover processes
Previous experience in fast-paced EPC or turnkey environments
