About the Role
Were looking for an experienced Area Manager to join our Senior Leadership team and lead, support and inspire our teams across seven services. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on building strong relationships, ensuring high standards of care, and leading by example.
As Area Manager, youll be responsible for making sure each service runs smoothly, remains fully compliant, and continues to deliver the best possible outcomes for children and families. Youll work closely with our Senior Leadership team, Coordinators and Director, with the support of a dedicated Administrative executive to help you with operational and compliance tasks.
Roles and Responsibilities
What Youll Be Doing
1. Lead and support teams across seven services, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance.
2. Oversee regulatory compliance and manage inspections from TUSLA, Pobal, and Environmental Health.
3. Guide and empower Deputy Manager and Coordinators, helping them to grow and lead their own teams with confidence.
4. Support the Senior Leadership Team and report directly to the Director, providing updates on operations and compliance.
5. Manage Tusla CICs and support with Core Funding compliance processes.
6. Handle complaints professionally and act as the Designated Liaison Person (DLP).
7. Lead on recruitment, hiring, contracts, and annual leave management.
8. Balance administrative work (mornings from home or the office) with on-site visits (afternoons) to check compliance, support teams, and strengthen service delivery.
The successful candidate must have
Were looking for someone who:
9. Has at least 6 years experience in childcare or a related management role.
10. Has experience managing TUSLA inspections and ensuring full compliance.
11. Is confident leading and motivating large, multi-site teams.
12. Communicates clearly and warmly, and builds strong, trusting relationships.
13. Is highly organised, proactive, and calm under pressure.
14. Leads with empathy, care, and a genuine passion for helping others succeed.
