Principal Consultant - Construction & Built Environment
Commercial Manager required for a Offsite Construction Specialist close to the Citywest area. This role will suit someone who is looking to join a rapidly growing organisation who are doubling their headcount & production facility by the end of 2026. This position also offers you a pathway to Directorship within a 2/3 year period.
Responsibilities
* Lead contract negotiation, drafting, and administration for construction projects
* Prepare and analyse tender submissions, cost estimates, and commercial proposals
* Manage Monthly Valuations, Variations and assessments
* Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cash flows to achieve financial targets
* Identify, assess, and manage commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle
* Coordinate the procurement to ensure materials and subcontractor agreements align with commercial objectives
* Produce monthly commercial reports and present insights to senior management
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction contract management or quantity surveying
* Proven track record managing contracts in sectors such as residential, commercial, or infrastructure
* Experience with standard form contracts
* Demonstrated success in driving cost savings and optimising commercial performance
* Strong commercial acumen and financial analysis skills
* Excellent negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder-management abilities
* Proficient in construction-cost software and Microsoft Office Suite
* Sharp risk-identification mindset with solution-oriented approach
* Clear written and verbal communication, with confidence presenting to C-suite
