Role Summary_
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading projects, developing technical drawing packages, coordinating with consultants, and supporting the delivery of projects from planning through to construction.
Key Responsibilities_
* Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation in accordance with building regulations and project requirements
* Translate conceptual and schematic designs into fully coordinated technical packages.
* Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, M&E, and specialist consultants
* Preparing and submitting planning and building regulation applications
* Conduct site visits and prepare site reports under the direction of the Project Architect
* Identify technical issues, propose practical solutions, and flag buildability concerns
* Stay current with industry standards, building regulations, and product innovations
* Maintain high standards of accuracy and graphic presentation
Required Skills & Experience_
* Degree or diploma in Architectural Technology (or equivalent)
* Minimum 2-3 years of post-qualification experience in an architectural practice
* Excellent knowledge of building regulations, codes, and construction methodologies (ROI and/or UK preferred)
* Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit preferred); experience with BIM workflows a strong plus
* Experience producing working drawings, tender packages, and construction detailing
* Strong understanding of materials, building envelope design, and specification writing
* Ability to work both independently and within a project team
* Strong communication skills and attention to detail
* Experience in residential, commercial, or educational sectors
* Familiarity with BC(A)R processes and site administration duties
* Knowledge of sustainable and low-energy building design principles
