About The Company
PJD Group is a residential construction and development company delivering housing developments across Ireland. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and organised Project / Office Administrator to join our team and support the delivery of our construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long‑term career within the construction industry while gaining hands‑on experience working alongside the Company Quantity Surveyor and Project Management team. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, capable of picking up new skills quickly, and interested in developing within a fast‑paced construction and development environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will assist with the day‑to‑day administration and coordination of multiple residential construction projects. The role will involve working closely with the Company Quantity Surveyor, contractors, suppliers, consultants, and site teams to help ensure projects run efficiently. This is a varied and hands‑on role which will provide exposure to many aspects of residential construction and development, including procurement, contractor coordination, project administration, document management, and general office support. The role is ideally suited to someone who is highly organised, proactive, and keen to develop their knowledge and experience within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting with the day‑to‑day management and administration of construction projects
Liaising with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and site personnel
Assisting with purchasing and procurement of construction materials
Preparing and issuing purchase orders and tracking deliveries
Monitoring project emails and following up on outstanding actions
Maintaining organised project files, trackers, and spreadsheets
Assisting with construction documentation and compliance records
Supporting the Company Quantity Surveyor and Project Management team with administrative and organisational tasks
Assisting with general office administration as required
About You
Is highly organised and attentive to detail
Has a strong work ethic and positive attitude
Is eager to learn and develop within the construction industry
Can pick up new systems and responsibilities quickly
Is confident communicating with contractors, suppliers, and colleagues
Is proactive and capable of following tasks through to completion
Can work efficiently in a busy and fast‑moving environment
Previous construction experience is beneficial but not essential. Full support and guidance will be provided to the right candidate.
Skills & Requirements Essential
Good communication and organisational skills
Competent using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks
Willingness to learn new systems and processes
Desirable
Previous office or administrative experience
Experience within construction, engineering, or property sectors
Full clean driving licence
