What you’ll do
As Stripe’s Vendor Manager you will lead outsourced support operations for our global vendors. Vendors provide user support across multiple channels (email, chat, phone), generate sales and qualify leads, perform risk reviews, and execute back-office functions. You will oversee vendor operations across user-facing teams and ensure a world-class support experience, working closely with cross-functional leaders and operational teams across Product Sales Operations, Enablement and Infrastructure.
* Build and own operational relationships across key partners in User operations, external vendors and internal teams
* Hold Stripe’s external partners and internal stakeholders accountable for performance and contractual commitments
* Manage vendor sites including contracts, commercials, staffing, and delivery of inputs; enablement of the sites with vendor and internal teams
* Lead Business Reviews and actions with vendors to drive KPI performance; maintain metrics and analysis of vendor performance; provide regular reporting
* Improve workflow and workforce management practices at vendor sites; ensure adherence to Stripe workflows
* Be an expert on Stripe products; act as onsite coach and bridge between external partners and internal teams to deliver process improvements
* Transmit and foster Stripe values, promoting user-centric culture and transparency
Who you are
We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Minimum Requirements
* At least 10+ years of direct Vendor management experience and 5+ years of people management experience
* Experience leading vendor operations teams (preferably in high-growth technology companies)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong operational background and a track-record of data-driven decisions; ability to write simple queries and run data analysis on Tableau, SQL or equivalent
* Ability to execute and deliver complex operational projects involving multiple stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience managing large cross-functional and global projects
* A track record of taking projects from conception to launch
* Strong ability to work with diverse internal teams and external vendors
* Action-oriented with strong organization skills and attention to detail
* Comfort working amidst high ambiguity and executing on complex projects
* Analytical thinking and problem solving with data-driven, first-principles recommendations
In-office expectations
Office-based Stripe employees are expected to spend at least 50% of the time in their local office or with users, with variations by role, team and location. Some sites have higher in-office requirements; the hiring manager will discuss this during the interview process to balance in-person collaboration with flexibility where possible.
Pay and benefits
The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is €99,200 - €148,800. For sales roles, the range includes On Target Earnings. The range may vary by location and level and will be narrowed during the interview process based on experience and location. Applicants may request the salary range for their location during the interview process. Benefits may include equity, bonuses or commissions, retirement plans, health benefits, and wellness stipends.
