R&D Manager
This is a senior leadership role within the R&D department responsible for overseeing the development of new medical devices.
* Develop and implement strategies to improve the design, testing, and manufacturing processes of medical devices.
* Mentor and lead a team of engineers and technicians in the development of new products.
* Ensure compliance with FDA and ISO 13485 regulations through effective implementation of quality management systems.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
* Analyze data to inform business decisions and drive strategic planning.
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the company remains competitive.
* Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to deliver projects on time and within budget.
* Provide coaching and feedback to team members to support their professional growth and development.
* Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
* Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with product development to ensure customer safety and satisfaction.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
* At least seven years of experience in a similar role in medical device product development, with a minimum of three years in project management/leadership roles.
* Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and delivering projects on time and within budget.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
