Overview of the Role
The Project Manager will oversee Water and Wastewater Treatment projects across Ireland, focusing on the Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) delivery model.
The role involves managing both the early design (PCI) and delivery (PDI) stages, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
Responsibilities
Ensure thorough knowledge and understanding of the contract for all assigned projects.
Coordinate design activities and outputs across Water and Wastewater PCI and PDI projects.
Act as the main point of contact for resolving any issues within the project portfolio.
Work collaboratively within the ECI structure with the client, technical assurance, employers representative, and operations teams.
Provide timely updates to senior management on design progress, procurement, cost forecasts, and variations.
Track scope performance against baseline to manage delays and maximise opportunities.
Administer all necessary documentation via approved systems such as BIM 360 and process workflows.
Monitor and control the project to ensure adherence to the programme.
Identify design risks, provide early warnings to the client, and support claims or cost interventions.
Identify opportunities for improvement and influence positive change in the design process.
Liaise with the project team, including Programme Manager, Designers, Drafting team and H&S Manager, to ensure all H&S requirements are met.
Motivate and guide team members to understand the scope and timeline of their outputs.
Required Qualifications and Skills
5+ years relevant post-qualification experience in the execution of M&E or Civil engineering projects.
Diploma, Degree or Masters level in a relevant Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Civil, Process, Chemical, etc.) or equivalent experience.
Strong IT skills including Microsoft Project.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Self-motivation and strong communication skills.
Work Permit Requirements
If you are an EU/EEA national, you will be required to provide proof of the right to work in Ireland.
Non-EU/EEA nationals must hold current and valid permission to work and reside in the Republic of Ireland.
