Job Background/ContextThe rate and pace of change in the health services is such that that adaptability is essential in this position. BHHC is currently undergoing major developments, and the post holder will be required to maintain and enhance their professional knowledge, skills and aptitudes necessary to respond to a changing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesEngineeringKeep database for BHHC plant and equipment up to date to include all service report information, O&M manuals etcCompile quarterly KPI informationCarry out audits and check against databaseGenerate reports for equipmentFollow up on overdue services/any missing informationCompile, roll out and update plant and equipment replacement programCompile and manage service reports quarterlyFollow up on overdue services/any missing informationPrepare and Issue purchase orders for repairs, calloutsHealth and Safety report updated to include adverse events and have ready for meetings.Attend and contribute to weekly engineering operational meetingsUpdate of plant and equipment risk assessmentsService ContractorsEnsure service contractor contact details are up to dateEnsure all contractor information is electronically filed appropriatelyRequest insurance and other relevant information form service contractorsCompiles SLA's, issues and ensures follow up completedEnsure contract costing information is up to dateBuilding ServicesBe available to assist the DHE as required { i.e. electricity usage, risk assessments}Assign and close off maintenance work orders as requiredEnsure awareness of all procedures in the Engineering induction programAnswer the phone and pass on information to the relevant staffCall external companies to come in for repairs/collections when necessaryCollect internal mail and ensure authorized invoices are returned to financCompile and issue maintenance memosUpdate relevant FMS KPIs (out of hours call outs, lift call outs etc)Issue and close and manage contractor permit to work systemAdministrationUpdate policies, forms.
