Overview
This is a great opportunity for a recently qualified accountant to join a growing property development company in Sligo. The candidate will have experience in preparing accounts, strong IT and interpersonal skills, and a proactive "can do" attitude. This is a key position within the Finance team with opportunities for the right candidate to gain excellent commercial experience supporting the FD and leadership team. The company has ambitious targets and extensive development options over time.

We are based on the west coast of Ireland with an extensive pipeline of work in the commercial, education, healthcare, hospitality, and residential sectors.
Responsibilities
* Preparation of month end management accounts including reporting and analysis
* Post month end journals
* Maintaining balance sheet reconciliations
* Assist in creating a detailed audit file and support the year end audit process
* Overseeing banking, intercompany and sales reporting
* Monthly reporting on projects
* Contribute to the preparation of budgets and reconciliations
* Ensure compliance with regulatory legislation for financial and tax reporting
* Participate in ongoing development and review of accounting and cost management systems, internal controls, and processes
* Contribute to other commercial and financial projects as required
Requirements
* Qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA or equivalent)
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, advanced knowledge of Excel
* Experience of working with systems, preferably Xero and Live Costs
* Exceptional communication skills with the ability to liaise and direct across multiple departments
The role will be office-based. Work hours are Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:00 with a 1-hour lunch break. Construction-related experience is preferred but not essential. Flexible start date for the right candidate, ideally ASAP.
