Assistant Manager – Supermarket – Co. Clare
Excel Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting an Assistant Manager on behalf of our client, a successful and established supermarket in Co. Clare. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and ambitious retail professional to join a progressive business and play a key role in the daily operations, staff development, and continued growth of the store.
Salary: €40k – €45k
Responsibilities:
1. Work closely with the Store Manager, other Assistant Managers, and Supervisors to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
2. Support the implementation of company policies, procedures, and operational standards
3. Lead by example to deliver excellent customer service and maintain high store presentation standards
4. Assist with staff scheduling, delegation of duties, and performance monitoring
5. Take an active role in staff training and development, ensuring all procedures are correctly followed
6. Contribute to sales performance, merchandising, and stock management
Requirements:
7. Minimum 2 years' experience in an Assistant Manager role within retail, ideally supermarket or grocery
8. Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
9. Proven ability to train, motivate, and support staff
10. A hands-on, proactive approach and commitment to delivering results
11. Excellent attention to detail and customer service focus
