Jabil in Dublin is seeking a Quality Technician who will contribute directly to server hardware manufacturing facilities. You will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of hardware products in a large-scale production environment.
Location: Dublin 15, Blanchardstown
Work shift: Fixed weekend day shift
* Friday to Sunday: 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
* Saturday to Monday: 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
Job Summary:
This role involves assisting the Quality Engineering function as technical support in manufacturing issues, supporting corrective actions, and driving continuous improvement at Jabil.
Key Responsibilities and End Results:
* Verify material conformance to specifications and interpret company and industrial standards.
* Maintain records of technical data related to materials, tools, fixtures, and processes.
* Assist inspectors as the first point of contact for defects and issues.
* Collect and analyze data using statistical methods.
* Support Quality Engineers with ECN and CAPA follow-up.
* Review non-conformance materials and products.
* Support production with troubleshooting and defect resolution.
* Ensure capability studies are performed on critical processes.
* Perform first article inspections, review visual aids, and update inspection visuals.
* Perform defect analysis reporting and audits.
* Assist in applying Advance Quality Planning (AQP).
* Implement and monitor Layered Process Audit (LPA) and Quick Response Quick Control (QRQC).
* Follow all safety, health, and security procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
* Diploma in Quality or related discipline; experience may substitute education.
* At least 2 years in a quality-related role.
* Experience with internal audits and monitoring effectiveness.
* Minimum Quality Technician I level for 6-12 months (internal candidates).
* Supervisory experience is advantageous but not essential.
* Strong planning, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
* Proficiency in English and eligibility to work in Ireland.
Desired Criteria:
* BS/BA in Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, or Mechatronics.
* Experience in electronic manufacturing is highly desirable.
* Lean certification up to bronze level.
