To grow our Engineering team in the UK and Ireland, we are looking for a Graduate Engineer to join us. You will work on a wide range of bridge and structures projects and co-create on prestigious infrastructure programmes in the UK and Ireland. You’ll be supported by our engineers on your ongoing professional development (Chartership) with a tailored plan to achieve your career aspirations.
Responsibilities
Producing engineering designs, assessments, and evaluations in accordance with project requirements
Preparing calculations, writing reports, and checking drawings
Checking design calculations and drawings done by other engineers
Performing a wide variety of engineer activities including collating and understanding data, running analysis, developing calculation methods, and working with colleagues to deliver high-quality project work
Contributing to the dissemination of engineering good practice and implementation of in-house tools such as the carbon calculation tool
With the support of your project manager, plan and prioritise your workload, reporting progress against project budget and programme
Delivering your own work to a high technical standard with careful self-checking
Attending site visits or client meetings
Skills and Qualifications
Been studying to obtain a bachelor's or master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng, BSc, MEng, MSc)
Aspiring to become a Chartered Engineer
Experience of working in an engineering environment (e.g., year in industry or summer placements)
Familiar with UK standards or equivalent European/Euro Codes
Understanding of CDM Regulations, specifically the designers' requirements
Demonstrated deep interest in engineering and a commitment to technical excellence
Ability and willingness to work in a diverse and multi-disciplinary team
Good communication skills and teamwork
