The responsibilities & competencies required for the role of International Representative for ITM are as follows:

Role Purpose

Reporting to the CEO of ITM, the International Representative will develop key markets for the Irish thoroughbred through a range of marketing tools.

Responsibilities:

* Travel internationally to establish a presence in designated markets for ITM and the Irish thoroughbred industry identifying and building relationships with the key influencers in target markets. Primary markets will include Middle East which includes UAE, Qatar, Bahrain & Saudi Arabia, China, Malaysia & Canada.
* Communicate, based on your thorough understanding of Irish breeding and racing, the unique selling proposition of the Irish Thoroughbred to potential clients using all relevant channels and resources to build awareness of the Irish thoroughbred and the work of ITM.
* Place a key focus on developing and protecting the ITM brand through all forms of Media.
* Play a key role in the creation and coordination of digital activities across ITM's online platforms.
* Organise and host events in target markets to create opportunities to present ITM to an international network of clients who will advance the business objectives of ITM and organise itineraries and host inward visiting delegations
* Develop and nurture an excellent database of key contacts of national & international media personnel (TV, Radio, Print and Online) providing articles and ITM updates as appropriate
* Be an expert content creator and curator to tell the story of the Irish Thoroughbred to audiences in traditional and online media
* Maximise every opportunity presented in the course of your duties to promote the Irish thoroughbred industry
* Develop KPI reports to underpin your key activities
* Any other duties within your capabilities and as requested by the CEO of ITM.

Skills and Experience

* Excellent knowledge of Irish and International racing and Breeding.
* Full Clean driving Licence
* Strong Communication skills written and oral.
* Experience working as part of a team as well as on own initiative.
* Good understanding of all forms of Digital Media
* Experience in organising and hosting events in own markets
* High energy and results oriented with a passion for the thoroughbred industry.
* Experience collaborating with colleagues to achieve business objectives.
* Ability to effectively communicate and influence key stakeholders
