The project
We are looking for a potential candidate for client engineer to work in a customer facing role for future offshore wind projects. The ideal candidate will have offshore wind power experience however offshore oil and gas experience may be considered. The potential candidate will be able to utilise engineering support services through EirGrid frameworks however the candidate will have a broad understanding of the below specialisations.
You’ll Be Responsible For
You will ensure robust quality systems are in place and suitably managed in line with service excellence.
You will manage delivery from project inception/brief, through design development and planning, contractor procurement and construction phase in accordance with the overall delivery program and agreed project milestones.
You will manage tasks and associated deliverables in support of the Associate Director and other senior leaders, alongside the wider project and client teams, to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of the project.
Demonstrating the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, highly collaborative work environment.
Demonstrating enthusiasm to drive development and delivery of large infrastructure projects.
Identifying and managing stakeholders and ensuring regular and timely communications at all levels.
Ability to work collaboratively with customers and stakeholders.
Ensuring that appropriate project controls are in place within the team having regard to budgets, schedule, scope, quality risk and other performance indicators.
Preparing and updating formal project progress reports such as monthly reports including financial, budget and project schedule reporting.
Ability to analyse issues, exercising judgement to make decisions and elevate as appropriate.
Supporting improvement of processes, procedures and systems.
Development of governance papers and reports to support the approval process.
Managing Risks and Issues and escalating appropriately.
You’ll Need To Have
Extensive geotechnical expertise, including offshore substation platform mechanical and structural experience.
Digitally fluent leader, building trusted client relationships and high‑performing teams.
Chartered or professionally aligned, with strong commercial, project and stakeholder capability.
Sustainability‑minded professional, experienced within complex, large‑scale infrastructure projects.
