Clinical Nurse Manager II – Interventional Cardiology (Full-Time)
Location: Bon Secours Hospital Limerick, Towlerton, Ballysimon.
Hours: 37.5 per week.
Permanent.
Remuneration: €62,078 – €78,443.
Role Summary
The Clinical Nurse Manager II will lead and manage the Catheterisation Laboratory and oversee day-to-day operations, strategic planning, and continuous quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Cath Lab staff, ensuring efficient, safe operation aligned with hospital policies.
Develop and manage departmental policy, emphasizing change management.
Manage resources, staffing, WTE control, recruitment, retention, and professional development.
Implement annual staff development and performance reviews.
Ensure professional and clinical standards, evidence-based care plans, and continuous quality improvement.
Conduct audit and support system evaluation; investigate complaints, incidents, near-misses.
Promote inter-professional teamwork, community and inter/intra-hospital liaison.
Coordinate patient activities within area of responsibility, fostering multidisciplinary communication and collaboration.
Apply delegation principles to maximize safe autonomy.
Manage staff sickness, absenteeism per hospital procedures.
Qualifications
Registered in the General Nurse Division of the Register of Nurses kept by the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland.
At least 5years post-registration experience, including 3years within Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory or Cardiology.
Relevant management experience or qualification.
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, accountability and communication skills.
Evidence of continuing professional development at an appropriate level.
Essential Requirements
R.G.N registration.
