As a Production Planning Specialist, your key responsibility will be to develop and implement production schedules based on forecasts and sales orders.
You will work closely with the manufacturing team to determine the necessary resources, including manpower, equipment, and raw materials, required to meet demand.
Your tasks will include analyzing production capacity, labor availability, and equipment constraints to ensure efficient use of resources. Additionally, you will need to implement load leveling and resolve bottlenecks where necessary.
Furthermore, you will be responsible for monitoring stock levels and minimizing excess or obsolete inventory, as well as tracking Work-In-Progress (WIP), raw materials, and finished goods.
In terms of reporting, you will prepare and present weekly and monthly reports to management to facilitate continuous improvement and decision-making.
Your other duties will include adhering to plant safety requirements and health and safety regulations, and performing any additional tasks assigned by your manager.
