Job Summary
As a skilled Toolmaker, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of injection molds, ensuring compliance with specifications and procedures. You will also manufacture and maintain jigs, fixtures, and ancillary equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and repair injection molds to ensure quality and efficiency.
* Manufacture and maintain jigs, fixtures, and ancillary equipment to support tooling operations.
* Troubleshoot mold issues in collaboration with Process Engineers to minimize downtime and optimize production.
* Support quality improvements and customer-related problem-solving through proactive measures and effective communication.
* Research and implement new tooling processes and systems to enhance productivity and competitiveness.
* Provide training and knowledge-sharing within the toolroom to promote best practices and technical expertise.
* Ensure documentation and processes meet ISO 9001 / ISO 13485 standards to maintain regulatory compliance and industry recognition.
Requirements:
* Recognized toolmaking qualification and time-served experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Minimum 4 years' experience in a manufacturing setting with a proven background in injection mold making/maintenance.
* Skilled in milling, turning, grinding, sparking, fitting, and welding, with a strong understanding of mold types (multi-cavity, hot runner, valve gated).
* Experience with high-precision/medical applications is an advantage, as is familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and supplier/customer interaction.
